| To provide a potable, safe water supply to the citizens of Taylor County in the Woods Creek area immediately adjacent to the City of Perry. The area has ongoing water problems due to the wate table in the area and quality of the water. Taylor County is one of the areas designed "critical economic concern" and there are no funds available to extend water service from the city to this area. This area has many senior citizens who have no other recourse than to use water of poor quality or do without. Water is a basic staple of life. |

| Providing citizens in Taylor County with potable water in an area where there are frequent quality and quantity problems. This has been an ongoing problem but Taylor County has no funds available to extend infrastructure. Taylor County has serious infrastructure problems with water and sewer in many areas through out the county. Being among the most impoverished counties in the state, funding assistance is desperately needed to provide potable water to many of the Taylor County citizens. |
