Project Description:
The funding for four adult crisis stabilization beds is in line with DCF legislative budget request of $14 million for Baker Act services. However the department requested funding for all districts except for centers in the G. Pierce Wood catchment area. In Lee County, we saw increased demand when the hospital closed, particularly since we do not have psychiatric hospitals. That increase was only to meet the added growth. Consequently, our center should receive an increase in funding along with the rest of the state.
