| Project Description: |
| Sheltering Arms will operate a 24-hr "awake" supervised Emergency Care Home/Shelter for neglected abused or abandoned children 11 and under, servicing DCF District 13. The home will accommodate up to 12 children and keep siblings together.Each child will be well cared for by a multi generational staff,volunteers, and student interns. Services and provisions for each child will include a safe, comfortable home;nutritious meals & snacks; adequate clothing & shoes; books, games & toys; medical/dental screenings-treatmens; music, arts & crafts, fitness & sports; opportunities to participate in community events, enrichment experiences, educational & learning activities. Each child will have an individualized service plan and will receive awards for special achievements.
