Project Description:
Upgrade the city's fire flow and water quality in order to protect the health, safety and welfare of our citizenry and promote revitalization. Most water pipes located within Historic Brooksville date back to 1925.Time and use have resulted in breakage, infiltration and decreased efficiency. Presently, the community lacks sufficient water pressure to adequately fight fires, resulting in the loss of historic structures and the inability to promote necessary economic revitalization. The city's multi-year utility plan calls for defining the most critical problem areas, replacing water pipes and improving water pressure and fire flow.
