| Project Description: |
| Florida Arts, Inc., is requesting economic support for the immediate stabilization of the vacated 1933 WPA Fort Myers Federal Building to stop water infiltration caused by a deteriorated roof and windows. Restoration will follow, resulting in programming and educational opportunities for local and visitor participation, increasing economic benefit to the region and state. |

| Stabilize and ultimately restor an irreplaceable historic public building for the citizens of Lee County and Florida. The Florida Arts Cultural Center is for everyone and will serve as a major destination to the downtown, attracting our residents as well as millions of annual visitors to our area. It will provide new media, technology and communication for people of all ages to discover, understand, and appreciate the visual and performing arts, while creating a dramatic economic impact to the surrounding area. |
