Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
With completion of this infrastructure/neighborhood improvement project, there will not be any standing stormwater. No standing stormwater means no breeding of mosquitoes, no exposure to standing stormwater which may possibly be contaminated with sewer water, thereby less pollutant loadings to surface water and ground water. This project will reduce pollutant loadings to groundwater by fixing infiltration/inflow into sewer pipe, thereby protecting our groundwater and will make the pumps run more efficiently, thereby reducing sewer overflows. Also, less pollutants will be conveyed to Miami-Dade County system and thereby less pollutant loading into ocean outfall. This means less pollutant loadings and better water qualities. The completion of this project will improve the water quality and will enhance the local vegetation and tree planting and maintenance and promote healthy conditions and protect the environment. Therefore this project will protect public health and offer a healthy and hygienic atmosphere for the public. |
