Project Description:
To purchase and install approximately 11 old obsolete pumps at citywide 18 sewer pump stations. To repair the wetwell (structual repairs along with protective coating), upgrade/repair electrical system and to replace one of the three pumps at the drywell at Master Station No. 11-C.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
This project will reduce pollutant loading to groundwater by fixing sewer pump stations, thereby protecting our groundwater and will make the pumps run more efficiently, thereby reducing sewer overflows. Also, less pollutants will be conveyed to Miami-Dade County system and thereby less pollutant loading into ocean outfall. This means less pollutant loadings and better water qualities. Therefore, this project will protect public health and offer a healthy and hygienic atmosphere for the public.
