Project Description:
The scope of the project consists of the construction of storm sewer improvements in the area bounded by N.E. 6 Street, N.E. 8 Avenue, N.E. 75 Street, and Little River. The improvements consists of exfiltration trench (french drain), manholes, catch basins, a water quality unit, storm sewer pipe for gravity conveyance, cross drains, new outfall, plugging of existing outfalls, some road reconstruction, and surface restoration. Note: Storm water from this project discharges to the Little River Canal which directly connects to the Biscayne Bay. Biscayne Bay is a SFWMD priority water body.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Mitigation of flood conditions in the regional system that will complement the SFWMD major improvements to the C-6 Canal (basin) which connects to the Biscayne Bay via the Little River Canal, reduced flood damage insurance claims, and water quality enhancements to the Little River, Miami River, and Biscayne Bay.
