Project Description:
Construction of channel improvements by stabilizing canal banks and improving the conveyance of stromwater flow by the removal of approximately 70,000 cubic yards of bottom sediments in the C-3 canal downstream of Control Structure G-93. Engineering services (plans preparation and project management); Environmental services (sediments characterization); Surveying services (soundings, aerieal photography) will also be required to complete this project.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
1) Improved protection against flooding in the lower upland reaches of the C-3 Canal basin; 2) Prevention of the transport of potentially contaminated bottom sediments to Biscayne Bay during and after the operation of Control Structure G-93; and 3) Prevention of bank erosion at selected locations along the C-3 Canal.
