Project Description:
Duck Pond area was flooded during hurrican Frances which includes 22nd Street, 17th Street, 15th Street, and Fowler Avenue. Duck Pond watershed is located in northern Hillsborough County. The total drainage area north of Fowler Avenue is approximately 2,243 acres and about 1,500 acres will flow to Duck Pond West (DPW) first, and then go to Duck Pond East (DPE) via a 72" RCP. The potential solutions for this system include: 1)Provide a "Stormwater Regional Detention Pond" at upstream of DPW area which can be located near the 22nd Street and Fletcher Avenue, 2)Upgrade the internal drainage system between DPW, DPE,and Fowler Avenue cross-drain, and 3)Install a pump station at DPE to divert glow into 30th Street drainage system located within City of Tampa and ultimately discharges into Hillsborough River.
