| Statewide Interest: |
| DACCO provides Alternatives to Incarceration for non-violent substance abusers that would take costly space in our local jails and prisons. While in six-month Residential treatment, using a modified therapeutic community model, clients are provided treatment, GED, return to work, and Aftercare. The cost for a day in jail is $75.00. DACCO provides treatment and supervision for $45.00/day, a savings of $20.00 each day, saving $266,000 of incarceration funding. |
