Statewide Interest:
This is a new segment to provide interconnectivity between SIS and regional Significant Facilities. Improvements are needed to provide better east-west mobility, relieve congestion on existing State Facilities; continue economic stimulation, reduce time, money, and environmental impacts (ozone) due to delays and congestion. This roadways support alternative means of access before, during, and after natural disasters. The Alternative benefit is to reduce through traffic through existing low-income housing, provide alternative truck routes that hinder the existing quality of life for area communities.

Project Description:
The corridor is a proposed new connection between Pine Forest Road (SR 297) and US 29. I will also supply and contiguous corridor to the Burgess Road/Creighton Road Extension from Scenic Highway, a true east-west connector. This project will continue to support alternative hurricane routes for goods and services and evacuation as well.
