| Project Description: |
| During the 2004 hurricane season, it became abundantly clear that Putnam County's existing EOC is grossly inadequate to withstand winds above 40 mph. It also is too small to house the necessary emergency response personnel required to perform emergency management functions. In 2005, Putnam County purchased a building which will become our new EOC. This building was engineered to withstand 120 mph winds. Putnam County will upgrade the building to further withstand 150-200 mph winds. |
