Project Description:
Project involves the construction of Fire Station 103, located temporarily at 3500 NE 16th Terrace, Pompano Beach. This facility was renovated 4 years ago from a community center to a fire station due to the annexation of Cresthaven (7,000 residents). The facility presently accommodates 6 employees and has little space to house fire/rescue apparatus and equipment. A new site needs to be selected to not only serve the Cresthaven Neighborhood, but to also serve Loch Lomond, Kendal Green, Leisureville, and the Pompano Beach Highlands, which were all annexed into the City last year. Total cost o the project is estimated at $3.8 million.
