| Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
| In order to create and maintain a healthy and vital comunity, its critical to balance residential land use and development with commercial and industrial enterprises. This allows for a solid self-sustaining tax and revenue foundation to provide adequate public services for our residents. It also provides a springboard for a healthy local economy, which in turn provides jobs and higher standards of housing for residents. An optimum balance between residential and commercial land use is typically 70% residential - 30% commercial/industrial. Therefore, to assist the city in achieving this balance, it is essential to create an attractive industrial park/commerical zone with the necessary servicing infrastructure to promote the City of Wauchula as a viable location for businesses to locate their facilities. |
