Project Description:
SABER, which is accredited as a Vocational School by the Florida Department of Education, will continue the nursing program that aids foreign nurses to pass a revalidation of their RN license in Florida. The participants are from Latin America and the Carribean. They receive intensive English courses, review and preparation for the revalidation of RN license, and an internship at a local hospital.

With these funds an additional 200 nurses will be enrolled thus addressing the stated shortage of 126,000 nurses this year alone from the study conducted by the US Department of Labor and The Florida Hospital Association., published January 2003
