Project Description:
This project establishes a rural health-training program, with the possibility of developing both educational and service programs in Immokalee, Florida and will include health care providers currently serving in the region. The plan would call for individual philanthropic support, state support, and local community support. Teaching faculty from the College of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Social Work, and the Department of Clinical Psychology would be placed at the site to provide both educational opportunities for students enrolled in these programs and service to the community.
