| The purpose of the project is to provide a facility in the University Area community that will serve as both a school and public library. By partnering with the Hillsborough County School System, resources can be shared to maximize educational services to this economically disadvantaged area to meet their needs. Public libraries and their services are available to everyone; all visitors in need of a library are able to enjoy the library's resources. |

| Project Description: |
| To acquire land to build a new public and school library facility to serve the University area in partnership with the Hillsborough County School System to ensure residents have access to information. By partnering with the school system, the library will be able to efficiently and effectively provide services to this economically disadvantaged community by sharing resources and minimizing duplication of programs within the community. |

| By building a partnership facility in the University area with Hillsborough County School System, it is anticipated that the number of library borrowers in the county will increase, the number of materials in the system checked out will increase, attendance at programs will increase, and FCAT achievement will improve. Citizens in the community will enjoy library services close to home and will be able to have easier access to information. |
