Project Description:
Project will entail construction of apartment housing facility to accommodate increasing number of visiting researchers conducting coastal marine research activities on the Treasure Coast. Apartments will accommodate visiting scientists, postdoctoral researchers and/or graduate students. The facility will greatly expand the capability of the Smithsonian Marine Station to serve students and researchers from around the state and world who use this prime location for research. Increased studies of Florida's marine resources and biodiversity will provide information and a management tool for the state.
