Tsala Apopka Chain of Lakes are Outstanding Florida waterways and are of historic, ecologic, and economic significance to the state of Florida. These waterways are plagued by sedimentation, excessive growth of aquatic plants, degraded water quality and degraded recreational value.

Project Description:
Acquisition of strategically located upland spoil sites to deposit removed tussock material. Spoil deposition can be facilitated via lease, mitigation contract or purchase. Project necessitated due to lack of suitable sites severely limiting tussock removal projects. Any funds not used for acquisition of disposal areas will be used for tussock removal and disposal.
