Project Description:
A new building will be constructed to replace the 12-year old manufactured home that presently houses a collection of mounted specimens and a small classroom. The one story multi-purpose building will contain a larger museum area and a separate classroom to seat 30 individuals, plus a new aquatic lab and a covered porch area that can also serve as a classroom. This will also be the opportunity to replace our septic systems with a gravity-feed sewer line which will eliminate any possible environmental damage to Trout Lake. The same porpose will be served as we improve the parking area's drainage. This will enable the site to be used at all times, even during rainy weather.

With the population of Lake County growing rapidly this new facility will enable the Nature Center to accommodate a larger number of visitors, including many more children.
