Project Description:
Providing a medical home for West Pasco residents to have access to primary and preventive healthcare. In 2005, Premier Community HealthCare Group, a federally qualified community health center (FQHC) and migrant health center (MHC) treated 5,604 patients who were either un/underinsured. The goal is that each and every resident have a medcal home to receive their care instead of the emergency room that costs 10 times more than it does to recieve that care in a community health center. We know that community health centers are the model for tomorrow and provide the much needed continutity of care that will be the catalyst for a healthier Pasco County. We believe that "Health is Wealth" and by keeping individuals healthy they can work and sustain the continued economic stability and development of Pasco County.
