This program offers inner city youth a place to go after school where they receive structured activities, and tutoring in a safe, crime free environment. By providing constructive activities, it reduces the possibilities for idle hands to participate in criminal activities that, increases crime rates and burden the juvenile justice system. This program also promotes a positive attitude towards learning and encourages participants to seek a college career while forming marketable computer skills.

Project Description:
The Challenger School provides after school tutoring for 5th through 12th grades, computer training, youth crime prevention, FCAT preparation, health and fitness, cultural arts and Arts & Drama will be provided for students ranging from 5th-12th grades.

Our program is helping to reduce the high drop-out rate, is reducing youth crime in the community, while the early intervention program prepares our children to enter into and start their Elementary Education.
