| This project addresses a regional need to offer access to Detoxification Services to citizens in need - presently there are typically 35 - 50 people on a wait list for this service. It will provide care to 40% more individuals annually, or 60 additional citizens monthly. Expanding Detoxification capacity is a priority in the local Substance Abuse and Mental Health Plan developed by the Department of Children's and Families. |

| Project Description: |
| Construction of an expanded Detoxification and Outpatient treatment facility with 40 detoxification beds to respond to community demand for services. This project is the result of a regional task force's work in 2005 which identified the need for expanded capacity for this acute level of care, and has been endorsed by Lee Mental Health System, the SWFL Community Foundation, Fould's Foundation and the City of Fort Myers in addition to numerous private donors. |
