Project Description:
Reroute urban stormwater into the SBDD Canal #13, which will improve the water quality before it reaches the C-11 Canal that leads to the Everglades as part of a CERP mandated drainage connection closure.

Describe, specifically, how it will reduce loadings, identify anticipated load reductions for total suspended solids, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, and other contaminants, and specify the practices that will be used to reduce loadings:
Currently there is a small ditch/waterway that drains rear-yard run-off from adjacent single family homes directly into the C-11 Canal via an existing underground culvert. The SBDD has plans to eliminate this direct connection. This project will reroute existing drainage into both existing and proposed drainage favilities into SBDD's secondary canal system. The rerouted proposed drainage facilities shall now be controlled via the SBDD's S9/S10 control facilities, which will include water quality provisions prior to discharging into the C-11 Canal.
