Project Description:
This funding request is needed for the construction of a Learning Center that will support the existing sensory garden. The Center would house seminars, clinics and classes pertaining to the garden and the natural environment. This park was constructed to accommodate the physically disabled and the playground desired would integrate components that will allow access to all children for interactive play. Footbridges will allow access to the entire park site so that the visitor can walk the park starting at any location of the site. This unique park setting, which gives the user a sensory experience of using their five senses (sight, hearing, touch, taste, smell) in an array of landscape plantings provides a vast number of recreational opportunities attracting visitors from the local region and State.
