Project Description:
The Lauderdale Lakes Alzheimer Care Center has an excellent reputation for its program and services. The existing program needs to expand to assist in serving the 45,600 elders with Alzheimer�s disease in Broward County and the 39, 670 elders in Broward County that are medically underserved. Funding would permit the City�s Alzheimer Care Center to increase the number of elder clients served, to increase caregiver support services, and to increase the amount of outreach, education, and community resource assistance.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Measurable outcomes include an increase in the quality/quantity of services provided to the Alzheimer Care Center clients and caregivers, decrease in institutional placement and an increase in the number of elders that remain in their homes.
