| Project Description: |
| This project provides for the purchase and installation of advanced water and wastewater security and monitoring systems that will be utilized to protect the City of Boca Raton�s water and wastewater facilities, water distribution system and wastewater collection systems.. Since September 11, 2001, the need for increased water and wastewater facility, distribution and collection system security and monitoring has been realized. Water quality and system disruption have been identified as potential threats to public water and wastewater systems. The purchase and installation of new and advanced water and wastewater security monitoring systems will ensure the protection of the City of Boca Raton�s water and wastewater facilities distribution and collection systems reducing the potential for contamination and/or safety and disruption of critical services. |
