| The proposed project is a continuation of the City�s stormwater containment effort. The City has thus far replaced three essential stations along the C-14 canal. The next phase of improvements provides for replacement of the culverts servicing the stations and surrounding area. The project will reduce flooding that impacts approximately 35,000 residents and 1,000 businesses in the seven (7) square mile basin served by the stations and will further protect the water quality by reducing pollutants entering the C-14 canal. |

| Measurable Outcome Anticipated: Coupled with the new pumps installed by the City, the culvert improvements will alleviate flooding by increasing pumping capacity by approximately 25%. The overall project will further decrease pollutants and solids washed into the canal system during flood events, further mitigating damage to the adjoining ecosystems. |
