| Our agency, The Association for the Development of the Exceptional has been providing Adult Day Training, and Supported Employment Services to the Developmentally Challenged population in Miami Dade County for over 30 years. Our agency has a waiting list that we are not able to address because of shortage of space. We are presenting a request for construction funds to build an extension to our North and South branches. Serving the needs of persons with disabilities has been one of the priorities identified in the State Plan for 2006. |

| The Construction will provide additional program space to service in a state of the arts facility to 100 to 150 additional consumers. Consumers attending will receive services 5 days a week of Adult Day Training (i.e. survival skills, functional academics, vocational skills, case management); Supported Employment Services (i.e., employability skills training, job placement, job coaching, and follow along services) & Transportation |
