Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
The population in Lake County has incresed the need to provide adequate health & other related services to the segment of the population that must depend on the LCHD for those essential programs. The growth has increased staffing levels at the LCHD & created the need for additional facility space. The Lake County Board of County Commissioners (LCBCC) has responded by leasing additional space, but the needs have exceeded the ability of the private sector to effectively & efficiently meet the space requirements. Water intrusion problems in the leased & county owned LCHD/LCBCC facilities have caused discontinuance all non-critical services & to meet the current & future vital health services of the citizens of Lake County it is essential to consolidate several of the clinical & administrative locations into an updated 50,000 sq ft facility. This new facility would also have the potential to provide ancillary types of services to the citizens of Lake County. The Lake County Board of County Commissioners has identified five acres of county owned property that is ideally located in the central part of Lake County to construct this facility. |
