Project Description:
The project proposes to create a water quality treatment facility within portions of the currently vacant lands relocated north of the City of Fort Myers cemetary and easterly of the Central AWWT facility (Raleigh Street) additionally, this facility will also work collectively with a number of other individual treatment areas along Billy Creek and its tributaries being currently considered or implemented in order to improve the overall water quality of stormwater outfalling into the Caloosahatchee.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
This project is located in this vicinity between Seaboard Street, Michigan Avenue and Palmetto Avenue along Billy Creek in an area known as the City of Fort Myers Cemetary. The proposed project will reduce the characteristic pollutants of nurtients, suspended solids and sediments associated with the contributory land uses as well as reduce stream bank scour, erosion and degredation.

The sysytem will utilize a multi-celled detention pond and vegetative treatment marsh top reduce nutrients, suspend solids and sediments per FDEP TMDL protocols.
