| Project Description: |
| HomeLink provides services to two constituent groups: at risk senior citizens and the developmentally disabled. The disabled group provides in home chore services; housekeeping, cooking, companionship and yard work to senior citizens that are living in their own homes. The disabled learn work skills and the seniors avoid nursing home placement. HomeLink is able to keep a senior in their community for approximately $10,000 per year when nursing home placement would cost $80,000 per year. |
