Project Title: C.W. Bill Young Joint Military Leadership Center Date Submitted 1/4/2008 11:40:07 AM

Sponsors: Dean

Statewide Interest:
Our nations military plays a huge role in Florida, especially in USFs ten-county service area, home to MacDill and other armed services and veterans centers. The Joint Military Leadership Center (JMLC) brokers, builds and sustains relationships with those entities, adding value to the current ROTC programs (Army, Navy, Air Force), to USFs existing academic strengths and to USFs outreach responsibilities. The program better prepares Floridas cadets, midshipmen and officers for the wars of the future, which are sure to be joint in nature. JMLC participants are enrolled in USF and in other private and public post-secondary institutions across the state.
