| Assist Alachua County in the relocation and development of its fairgrounds to a newly acquired county property and redevelop the current fairgrounds site for commercial and business uses. |

| Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
| The site of the new Alachua County Fairgrounds is 150 acres. The western 100 acres will be developed into the new Fairgrounds and the eastern 50 acres will be the site of a 540,000 square foot industrial park. The new fairgrounds facilities will accommodate a larger variety of uses and activities and provide greatly needed enhanced facilities for agricultural, educational, and recreational interests. Due to its strategic location and proximity to the Gainesville Regional Airport, the existing fairgrounds site will be redeveloped into a 475,000 acre business/commerce park in accordance with Alachua County and the City of Gainesville's long term goals. The fairgrounds relocation project is an imperative catalyst for economic development in East Gainesville. |
