This project will enable 25 Florida residents from ages 8 through 17 to enjoy the experience of camp with other young people who have the often debilitating gastrointestinal diseases known as Crohn�s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Project Description:
Camp Oasis is a carefully designed summer program that gives youngsters with Crohn�s disease or ulcerative colitis a chance to live away from home with others who share their diagnoses. The sum requested includes all expenses, including outreach, transportation, equipment and supplies, food, camp rental fees, etc.

The experience of Camp Oasis enables young people to develop a sense of dignity, equality and maximum independence, which translate into a rise in self-esteem.
