| The purpose of this Community Budget Request is to improve and rehabilitate 30,000 lineal feet of sewer main identified in our Corrective Action Plan using trench-less construction techniques. The rehabilitation of these mains will meet the requirement of the City�s Consent Order with the FDEP, prevent sanitary sewer overflows and potential contamination to the surrounding areas and state waters and decrease the amount of Infiltration and Inflow into our sanitary sewer system |

| Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
| Prevention of sanitary sewer overflows and environmental contamination of the surrounding areas as well as the potential contamination of state waters. Decrease the amount of Infiltration and Inflow (I/I) into our sanitary sewer system that is ultimately transmitted to Miami-Dade County for treatment and disposal. Therefore, increasing the effectiveness of the treatment plant capacity, decreasing the City�s operating costs, minimizing impacts on the environment. |
