Project Description:
Identify sources of fecal coliform bacteria pollution in area tributaries. This step is essential for implementing fecal coliform bacteria TMDL basin management action plans (BMAPs). Strategies to be employed have been described in the �Tributary Pollution Assessment Manual� developed by Jacksonville water quality stakeholders in 2006.

Describe, specifically, how it will reduce loadings, identify anticipated load reductions for total suspended solids, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, and other contaminants, and specify the practices that will be used to reduce loadings:
54 local tributaries are on the State�s list of Verified Impaired WBIDs for fecal coliform bacteria. TMDL�s are being written and BMAPs developed to bring the tributaries into attainment. In order for this to occur the sources of fecal; coliform pollution must first be determined. Once individual sources are identified restoration strategies can be implemented.
