The Jordan Elementary School is one of the few remaining historical structures built as a result of segregation. It served as the only educational facility for the African American population of south St. Petersburg. It�s renovation would allow the current occupants (Pinellas County Head Start) to continue operating and providing a needed service to the existing community.
