This is an after school and evening achievement and prevention programs for youth who come from single-parent families whose income falls within the lowest levels of the federal poverty guidelines. Most of the children do not have within their families too support them and most of the children in this area fall into the Juvenile Justice System and later on the Corrections System | |||||||||

During 2006-2007 school year: 44 children completed the after-program: 100% were promoted to the next grade 100% achieved and mastered the social and academic skills that were presented to them 100% of the parents participating as partners with Club Esteem in the success of their children Comparing school grades from the 1st semester with the end of the year 95% either showed improvement or their grades remained the same 41% made the honor roll 39 participating in the end of the year Rites of Passage Program Attendance in the program averaged greater than 4 days a week | |||||||||
