Project Description:
HIPPY is developmentally appropriate, cost-effective, and fits the goals of UPK, early literacy programs and its objectives of other state and local Early Childhood education initiatives. HIPPY also gives parents the tools, skills, and confidence they need to be the primary educators of their three, four, and five year old children.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
At least 80% of parents will spend at least one hour per week role playing the HIPPY Activity Packet with home a visitor. Parents will also read nine story books and role play the Activity Packets with their children for 15 minutes per day for 30 weeks. It is also expected that parents will attend monthly group meetings during curriculum year.
