Project Description:
This project extends the existing reuse irrigation lines that distribute advanced treated wastewater from a treatment plant in the City of Daytona Beach to a portion of the right-of-way of U.S. Highway 1 (Ridgewood Avenue) about 1.75 miles in length. This extension will allow for the irrigational use of additional effluent reuse that currently would be disposed of in the Halifax River.

Reuse water lines will facilitate connections to the reuse water lines owned by the City of Daytona Beach and the City of Port Orange that will result in the reduction of treated wastewater being deposited into the Halifax River. Reuse would also reduce the amount of potable water currently used for irrigation.
