Project Description: |
Fresh Ministries'East Jacksonville Neighborhood Resource Center & the Boselli Foundation Youth Life Learning Center are partnering to promote public safety by ensuring that kids and adults have an alternative to the streets and crime. Programs and services designed to prevent juvenile delinquency among our youth in our core city neighborhood will be instituted. After school mentoring, programs that focus on character-building and academic enrichment as well as remedial education will be offered. Family strengthening classes, literacy classes, and computers will be available for both youths and adults to search for jobs and direct connect to social services. Programs will also include working with local businesses to provide after school jobs for inner city teenagers. The total effort of this partnership will be to get core city youth off the streets, away from bad influences and engaged in education and life skills. |
