| This project is important for the efficient emergency evacuation of residents of low-lying or vulnerable coastal areas. The primary evacuation routes from the central panhandle and US 319 and SR 20, both of these roadways intersect with Capital circle on the South and West side of tallahassee. It also provides a much needed connector between the Tallahassee regional Airport, US 27 and US 90 East, which provides access to Interstate 10. All regional coastal residents of neighboring counties will benefit from this project. |

| This project will continue the construction of Capital Circle SE from Woodville Highway to Crawfordville Road. This regional transportation highway has been supported by state funding through both SIS and TRIP. |

| This project will provide a safe evacuation route for coastal and Leon County residents, and connect the Tallahassee Regional Airport to I-10. In addition, the Leon County Commission through its "Southern Strategy" is attempting to spur economic growth in the southern area of the City and County with a combination of roadway improvements, sector planning efforts, growth management and economic incentives. |
