| Project Description: |
| The estimate of $300,000 per lane mile for this 2.62 mile project reflects Holmes County�s request for $786,000. CR 173S has pavement deterioration, cracking and is severly rutted which creates a terrible hydroplaning hazard in wet weather. The road has also become an extremely heavily trafficked thoroughfare from Bonifay to the adjoin county. The road has not been resurfaced in more than 20 years. The FDOT resurfaces state roads every 15 years due to age creating safety hazards to the citizens traveling these roadways. As a REDI county, Holmes County is eligible for a waiver of the 25% match requirement and will provide the necessary In-kind contributions to complete the shoulder work and other project components within the Scope of Work that fall short of the available funds. |
