Project Description: |
At present, The Village's program for financiall disadvantaged girls, ages 11 to 17, with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders, is the only residential program of its kind in Miami-Dade County. If the program is not continued, there will be no services for this population in Miami-Dade County. The requested funds will enable The Village to continue its program to provide substance abuse treatment, mental health, and related services to financially disadvantaged girls, ages 11 to 17 with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. In this program, the adolescent girls will recieve drug treatment, psychological care, academic education, vocational coaching, family intervention, and other character building services. |
