Project Description:
We are requesting funding for a storm water improvement project on Bay Grove Road. This area has been plagued with chronic drainage problems which have a negative effect on the residents of this area and the water quality of the Choctawhatchee Bay. We would need to construct a drainage ditch, replace six 18 inch cross pipes, six 36 inch cross pipes, replace 227 residential driveway culverts and additional storm water treatment area. The county crews have periodically worked in isolated areas on this road but the only lasting improvement can be achieved by an overall strategy to address this chronic problems. There are 227 residences in which the culverts and driveways would be replaced with adequate sized pipes at proper elevations to ensure proper drainage.
