Project Description:
The United Food Bank Expansion Project will allow the Food Bank of Plant City to expand services to include education and training for clients to enter or re-enter the workforce. The United Food Bank of Plant City currently provides services including food distribution, prescription funding and last resort funding (i.e. electricity, water, rent, . . . ) to over 6,000 truly needy individuals annually. Clients are provided for based on a "referral only" system. Referrals come from the Department of Children and Famlies, local churches, the Spring, South Florida Baptist Hospital, East Hillsborough County Schools and more.
