| Project Description: |
| The JCS Senior Meals Program serves nearly 1,100 homebound elderly every year. The Program has experienced extraordinary increases in expenses related to the production and delivery of the meals but has received stagnant funding from OAA. Elderly clients with poor nutrition tend to need more intensive healthcare and supportive services than those with proper nutrition. With these funds, we would not be forced to reduce our roster of homebound clients by 143 people and we could provide service to an additional 200 homebound seniors currently waiting for assistance or in need of nutritional sustenance. |
