| Project Description: |
| Provide a program to meet the deficiency of pediatric oral health professionals in Florida, specifically those who provide care for underserved populations, by developing a site for Pediatric Dental Residency training. Simultaneously, oral health care will be provided to ~ 6,000 children annually. Oral health care professionals will be exposed to a diverse patient population from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds; to children that have medical and behavioral problems and those with special needs requiring sedation. The program will significantly contribute to the oral health care of chronically underserved population. |
